a 12 port stroker would be more my style, Im not huge on mx style power. Im more of a topender... but for hill climbs, um ya I still think Id lein twords the 12 port, or maybe the cheetah, depending on what power each makes compared to price I guess...

| What is killer power. He says what 80hp but most of his motors are in the mid 70's. I saw a dyno sheet of a Jeff windorf motor at 85hp, 4mm on gas. Thats with smaller carbs than passion normally runs as well. I think he builds nice motors that perform well through the band but other people seem to be able to manage higher numbers. There is no reason at all to pay his what 1200 or more for one of his 12port motors, buy a cheetah cub for less and blow it away. |

| (cub price total) cub mono=900$ cub porting=200-300$ new +4 millimeter lr crank=500+$ 795 series pistons kit =175$ stroker domes=100-150$ -------------------- around $2000-$2200+ setup correctly $1200 for a 4mill 12 port stroker seems pretty cheap now

| First of all I would bet a cub motor without porting (which doesnt change much) and with a stock crank would run with a passion motor. I have seen non ported 4mm's cubs in the 80's with small carbs but I sure have never seen any passion dyno charts in the 80's. Not to mention your stepping up to something that has tons more potential, a nikasil bore, and a more solid motor over all. Im sorry but the stock jug market is going to be going in the tubes for anything over a mild motor. Evil you have probably seen the dyno chart with the 7mm cub at 108hp. Yes that setup would cost more money, but if you are spending over 1200 for a claimed mid 70's why not spend some more and get close to those triple digits. |
