Mystery engine case

these are 2 engine cases I have one that came off my1989 lt250r and the other i bought off ebay that was said to fit my 1989 lt250. They are very close to same size and shape but they are different. the water pump is different and the shape by it. FTZ did my motor work and they said i had a 1987 cylinder. So now im wondering if the motor in my quad is a 1987 or 89. If any one can figure this out that would be great

possibly the case of an RM250? Not sure but the are for sure different. I didn't think the changes between 87-92 where that different

thats a rm250 clutch cover. not sure of the year, but is from the mid to late 80's. the lt250r clutch covers are the same from 87-92.

I looked up 1980 250 rms and cant find one with a blue cover..I't wasn't painted over unless they stripped it down to medal and painted it the stock color. I looks like the stock paint job just like my lts cover. Im going to keep searching the web to see if i can find the bike this goes too ..thanks for the info guys.
