Default One cylinder kinda firing

I blew a hole in my right side piston and have now put the motor back together but the right side seems to be missing.....kinda a fast pop, pop, pop, pop sound(hard to explain). I took the head off and there was water in the cylinder so I put in all new o-rings and fired it back up.

I thought it was ok but started doing it again now. The pipe for that side will warm up but if its warm than the other side will burn you to the touch. I was trying to do the heat cycles when all this happened.

Didn't have a problem sealing the head the when I put it on before but now 2 times in a row? I 'm new to this stuff so I haven't ran acrossed all the problems that can arise or causes of them, so your guys help would be great.

There are no visible leaks on the outside and everything is tight(rechecked). The other side runs fine but you can see it in the smoke that it's not constant.

Hope you guys can help

thanks

So you rebuilt the engine??? Both pistons i hope (dumb but ive heard of it)...I know that after a rebuild the jetting sometimes need dropped a size or two. It could be making the one cylinder rich causing the misfires and such. i dont really know exactely but thats my first guess. Someone will have a much better explaination for it but thats my two cents.

did you remove the head opposite the tightening pattern??? and did you reinstall it in the correct tighting pattern??? this could be your problem.... worst case you could ahve warped your head which would explain the coolant in the cylinder.... best case..... you tighened it but one side didn't seal... the only place on a banshee that youi can get coolant into the cylinder is from the head gasket/o ring.. so look there.... if you need the correct tighten pattern... i can probably snap you a pic..

or look at a stock head... the holes are numbered 1-10 for a reason... thats the tightening pattern..

Blue Diablo,
No offense taken, I'm into old cars and I have seen some people do some dumb stuff motor wise....yeah both were bored .020 and new pistons/rings/bearings in both.

370 Banshee,
I have the stock head that came on the bike but it's been polished so I'll see if there are any numbers on it still. I'm going to pull the head and put a straight edge acrossed and make sure that there decked even and go from there.

Is it that easy to warp a head? I snug them down and them work my way up to 20lbs. I'll see if I have the sequence if not that would be cool if you could post them.
