| you would be better off with a trx5 thats what i run then the 11 you need more motor and some extensive porting otherwise the pipe wont do you any good |

| i know this thread is kind of old but i will put my 2 cents in for future questions. i would go with the ftz hands down on a big bore. they sound awesome and are pretty cheap. |

| They are hard to find but I have been very pleased with my sparks 330mx. It made my stroker a completely different quad and makes tons of usable, hard hitting power on my brothers 310. Make sure to get a big bore pipe; they are designed to take the extra volume. Other pipes are designed for 265cc.

| If your gonna go big with the right porting, use a shearer drag pipe,if not a duncan is a great pipe for mx riding on a 310 or 330 cyl.!

| First off, what type of riding do you plan on doing with your R? That is the first question that needs to be addressed. From your pic your R looks to be set up for MX, and although the TRX11 porting and pipe will give you greater HP numbers, it is NOT the kind of power you want for that type of riding. The TRX11 porting and pipe is for hill shooters and drag racers. This site it primarily made up of those types of riders, which is why you received so many responses about it. If you don't want to split your cases to have them machined to accept the larger cylinder, then I would only recommend the 310 kit. ESR offers a bolt on 330, which is basically a standard 330 kit with the sleeve skirt trimmed off. This is bad for two reasons, a. you lose over bores, and b. it doesn't allow for as much piston guidance as the piston travels through the stroke. As far as pipes go, if you run a 310 and below you are ok to run any 250R exhaust that you want. It isn't until you get into the 330 and up range where you will benefit from a big bore pipe. The LRD pipe that you have now is a good pipe, especially if you ride MX. The reason for a big bore pipe is because with a big bore comes increased exhaust gas volume. A standard pipe can not get rid of the gas fast enough, which in turn causes temperatures to increase. To my knowledge, the only true big bore pipes made are from LRD and Sparks. A true big bore pipe has an increased stinger diameter which allows for greater exhaust flow. ESR's version of this is their center mount design. They use a standard sized stinger, but it is much shorter and travels in a straighter direction. With this type of pipe you lose the air box, so that is something else that you have to take into consideration. Also, if you go with a 330 and above cylinder you have to start looking into other upgrades. For example, tranny gears, clutch, etc. etc.
