| whats the point of a override tranny instead of just using a slipper clutch, i know some people with ltrs that have slippers and they said you can pretty much just hold it wide open and run through the gears without clutching |

| theres a huge difference , yo u will not be able ot do what an override does on a typical trans setup. and granted some bikes shift smoother and easier under power than others but you cant phsyicaly accomplish the kind of lightening fast effortless non rejecting shifting that takes place with a cut override at full power and no clutch work . the rpms dont even dip between shifts and the tip of your big toe cant eve n feel shifts happen not to mention a slipper type clutch isnt getting al l its power to the ground if its slipping to work ...but the ovveride allows the clutch to have all its pressure and force while still ratcheting quickly through all the gears

| cant be too much of a power draw tho, all of team suzuki/yoshi/rockstar uses them, and theyve pulled the most holeshots this year |

Well duh. If you tried to use a cut tranny on a mx track it would probably explode landing the first jump. Line up two equal machines, one with a slipper and one with a cut tranny on a drag strip. My moneys on the cut tranny

| why would it explode, does an override weaken the tranny?

| You cant backload a cut tranny, well you can a dunable, but I highly doubt even the best dunable override would withstand the pressures from a mx track

| i was just saying that they dont take away from power beacuse they are pulling all the holeshots, and what is a hole shot, oh ya its just a drag but you keep riding after it, but i wasnt saying they would be better than an overide |

| look its real simple if your clutch isnt fully engaged you arenty making the most power obviously.. try riding with your clutch handle pulled in a qaurter of the way down the road and see how fast you go lmao did you ever think maybe these guys are just really excellent riders that have the clutch design slip out to favor their riding style in and out of corners and over jumps .if you have big power power it is ideal ot have your clutch slip initaly so yo udont break the wheels loose out of the gate causing spinning that loses ground .an ovveride would be very impractical for anything like gncc mx or freestyle ,why cant yo u get that im trying to explain these things ot help yo u and ansewer your question and your wanting to argue about it as usual a rekluse is the way it is for the engine and its envoronment and likewise an override is designed ofr its dicipline and environment your constant comparison ot whats the hot setup on the mx track doeasnt have much merit these pro guys can take a bone stock yfz450 and win every week too its most all about rider skill in this enivronemnt i suppose becuase their hat says they drink monster energy drinks enbables them to win every week too, according to your logic
