Default paint your jug?

So I am restoring an old polaris cyclone 250. I am getting ready to put the motor back together. I had it bored to 73mm from 72. What are the opinions about painting the head and jug? I have heard some mixed opinions on this. Does the paint hold the heat in, running the risk of overheating. Is this a bad idea for a motor without a cooling fan? Should I not be so anal about making it pretty? Whacha think?

just dont use the temp spray paint at wal mart or auto zone ,you need powder coat or some good high quality stuff that actually bonds ,the other ones will come off really quick with just alittle bit of fluids on them
