yz 125 stutter

99 yz 125, fmf fatty, shorty silencer, v-force reeds. other than those things it's stock. This bike stutters just before the power band comes in. It idles fine and has awsome power on top. I recentley bought this bike and the former owner said the only thing he ever did was raise the needle up one position to help cure plug fouling. I just cleaned the carb and screwed with the air needle but the problem is still there. Any one ever had a problem like this? Thanks for your time.

that bike is a high end rever... really nothing on bottom end.. what ya mean by shuttereing?

No, not "shutter" Dumbass, "stutter". As in it skips few beats just before the pipe comes into play. I could be WfO or half throttle and it will 4-stroke on me for a split second, Then BANG, Im rippin top end right now. What is causing this stutter?

okay try this locate your air screw turn it out 1 full turn. see if that helps or makes it worse. you have a pipe and silencer on it so that should really help when you get your carb adjusted right..
