yz 125 refuses to stay running

i have a 1983 yz 125 that just recieived a .060 over boring..... now when i start it it will run for about 5 sec.s max

my grandpa thinks its the timing... i adujusted it multiple times and it runs for a few seconds more but still nothing

any help is appreciated

Sounds like it's not getting enough fuel. Make sure the carb is clean along with the air filter. What is the compression of the new top end? Also check all the wiring for any bare wires creating a ground. Unplug the kill switch and see if it stays running.

hell ya... dipshits where i got the stator put in put the stator plate 180 degrees off, so i took it to my dads buddy, and 40 bucks later she was runnin like a rapped ape...

hell i still take it out once in a while and although its not much compared to my
01 cr 125 its still fun as hell
