| why do you want or need a shift light ,id rather be looking head then down o na drag cr500 bike and its evident when its time to shift alteast after you get to know and get a feel for how your bike runs and accelrates

| If you mount it correctly, there is no need to look anywhere but ahead. You can see the light flash in your peripheral vision much easier than watching a tach needle swing. And repeatability has long ago been proven over "by ear" or any other seat-of-the-pants method. In the brutal sport of bracket racing, the only form of racing I've done for the past 25+years, errors of as little as .001 of a second can be the difference between going home early and collecting a kiss from the trophy girl. Our sport demands robot-like consistancy as well as predictability and a shift lite is only one of many tools we have been forced to turn to as the level of competition has steadily risen over the years. |
