i would never buy one, but i would be fun to atleast try, although they make no peak power, electrics have like instant rev speed which results in torque, it truly would have no powerband, so it could be fun to try

no gears just push the throttle and paint your toenails while your waiting for its slowass german electric motor to wind up and make 1700 watts lol electric motors get most their power via the high rpms they spin ..off the line i bet its a dog and accelerates slow, that wh y hybrids are designed the way the yare, they lazily hum along through traffic lights till they need the real power and the gas motor kicks in

but I dont think those races were the best comparisons....I mean, to me, that electric car looks more like a f1 race car than a sports car, pretty much a frame and motor. it deffinatly has better traction than those other two, but they were roasting the tires off through the first couple gears. show me a 2 or 4 door daily driver type electric car that runs like that and i'd be impressed for sure

Well I can't see that video, but my guess it is the Tesla Roadster. It also doesn't cost $150K, it is around $100K. It is a single speed 200hp engine. I think that is doing good against a 500hp+ car.
And to the retard that says electric engine are slow, do you know what you are talkin about?
The reason hybrids are slow is the design of them. They are not made to go fast, they are made for effiecency.
The EV1, the GM electric car normal wasn't a fast car. GM took one and unrestricted the engine and battery, The car went 180mph.
There is electric drag cars runnin in the low 8s
