| my brother has a kawasaki ninja 250, its a in-line twin cylinder 4 stroke. I checked his gas mileage the oter day when I rode it to work and it got 65 mpg when you ride it fairly easy. this one guy at work has a honda cbr600 (f4i? or something like that) and its a 4 cylinder and he said it gets like 50 mpg when he rides it easy.

| do you have much experience on street bikes and stuff? it your kinda tight on cash and just need something easy on gas to get to work and stuff then I say you would love a kawasaki ninja 250. its more of a beginners bike but its fairly small, light and easy to manuver around and pretty fun to ride actually if you not all into eye-watering speed. brand new they are like 3800$ of a new 08 model, or you can find good condition used ones for like 2500$. it has a top speed of like 95-100 mph, lol thats what I toped his bike out at on the interstate the other night comeing home from work, and his is even geared up higher than stock.

| MPG all depends on how you drive and the size of the bike. Get a 600cc, you will get bored with the 250cc. I have heard teh 600cc get anywhere from 30 to 60. If you just use it to cruise and a low rpm then you should easily see 50mpg. Also if you have never ridden a cycle before, don't buy a new one, you will be pissed when you lay it down. Also, even if you riddin a dirt bike, a cycle is a different thing but it does help out with havin riddin on 2-wheels |

| I have ridden bikes before and ride my buddie's kx250 all the time. I had been wanting a Honda cbr, but that Kawi sounds alright, too. |
