| i would dig a chopper too, but i know unless i get the fastest thing made ill be disapointed. especially with my pal just getting the new zx10r. i have to get something at least as fast as him, cant go and have him smoking my ass. btw, did i mention that bike does 105 in first gear?

| I was going to get a GSXR last year, but I decided to pick up my banshee instead cuz I was kinda bored of the 350X and the Tecate 3 was in pieces. I like choppers and big harleys but I really wanted a crotchrocket. Now if I get one it's going to have to be a harley because my girlfriend said she's not sitting on the back of a rocket. She's done it before for awhile and hated it. Soooo maybe in a few years I'll pick up an "old man bike", but I have to become an old man first. |

| i have owned a gsx-r600, gsx-r750, and a zx7r, i have rode a 929, over all i would say the gsxr 750 was the best.... understanding you want a 1G bike makes it more dificult.... lets start by asking some simple questions, how tall are you, how much do you weigh, how many years riding STREET bikes, do you live in the city or country, how much do you want to spend? answer those and i will be able to help you out a little more.... |

| oops I forgot to put that I was looking at getting the 750. I've heard alot of good things about them. There was this awesome deal at Track N' Trail in State College, PA last year on brand new 2003 CBR 954's for $7,200. They had a bunch of them that they got from the factory as overstock with dealer rebates. The one guy I work with picked one up and he loves it. |

| im 5'10" 170 lbs but i dont care if the bikes comfortable, most sportbikes arent. i dont care about the price. been riding street for 3 or 4 years. i move all over the usa. my home is in arkansas but im in michigan city right now. as of today im leaning toward the cbr 1000.

| actually comfort will be a huge issue... because your not very tall i would defently reccomend the honda as you were thinking because, hondas in general tend to have shorter wheel bases, which will effect your comfort when in a tuck, they are also shorter at seat then, say a suzuki.... honda's tipicly have upto a 25% higher resale value... but i am very parcial to the zx10-r, but in your situation the honda will fit you best and will be able to sell if necessary anywhere in the us.... imho |

| i hear ya on the zx10r. its a great bike. on the topic of comfort, the 999r has an adjustable riding position, they say works really well. all in all i figure ill end up getting the cbr. got a ride on an 05 r1 lined up for tomorow afternoon, but unless it just blows me away ill prolly stick with the honda.
