my bikes goin to the shop tomorrow!

tomorrow my gixxer is goin to get measured and checked out for frame cracks and fork straightness! (from my accident) im excited cuz this is goin to decide wether i will rebuild or disassemble it! wish me luck!

if your forks are bent or if your frame seems to have a tiny bend it it, the inshurance will total it. thats what they did for my cousins bike after he hit a deer, the forks had a bend in them and the bars were shot and they totaled it. ohh and the tank was dented where he squeezed so hard with his knees it put dents in it, even on the side that was up when he laid it over.

ya im aware of that, i've done alot of research insurance companys will total out brand new bikes that were just uncrated and assembled if they find the tinyiest blemish on the frame...because theres alwasy a chance its a crack, or stress seam in the area. they don't want to risk.......

yea, but then he bought the bike back from them cuz they paid him like 4-5 grand for a bike he got for i think 1,500. he only paid around 750 to get it back, and he replaced all the bent, dented, and scrached parts and then sold it for another couple grand. he said he probility wont get another bike for a while after hitting that deer, he broke every toe in his foot and since there are so many deer around these days people are hitting them in the middle of the day on bikes. so he just said screw it and he wont hit another deer with one.

yea, he said if he wasnt gonna rebuild the bike he would have let me have the motor, that would have been awsome. it was i think a yamaha 750. it wasnt a crotch rocket, just a cruising bike but it still would have been nice in a go-kart.

lol its a 750 seca? i got a yamaha 650 maxim their basically same thing, same manual for both, just the seca has a bigger motor
