how fast?????????

could some 1` tell me how fast a .12 motor & a .18 would go with stock airfilter & all that shit just give me like a ruff speed

I have a .12 turbo rossi that makes 1.97hp and 43k rpm with a two speed and the right gearing and room it will hit 60+

I always thought of the .18's as a bastard engine size without many high performance .18 engines to pick from. I think they are mostly for cheaper off-road buggies and trucks kinda like a play around engine. The .12's and .21's are the real deal.

I actually got into Nitro rc cars for a couple years and got pretty into it, same with paintball but they are just past memories now. Sometimes I take the TC-4 for a spin if your just starting into nitro offroad go for something reliable and cheap I promise you 100% at some point you'll crash. Work your way up if your still into it and upgrade as skill increases like most powersports. Those things may be small but the crashes are fantastic.

If you got a question I'll try and find the answer, if I don't know it I'll call up a friend who's still into RC and is a pretty big RC freak.

Heh i was nuts into the hobby years ago. I new everything about the nitro side of things. I dont remember much though. I'll try to help.

If you want performance look into a .12. Depending on what it's going in, we can go from there. I can recommend companys, types, carbs, pipes, etc. It might be hard to understand but with nitro car's speed isnt everything. You will run out of room fast when going top speed.

As you can see, it's .12 engine(a knocked off of a Mugen MT12 engine) has way more power than the car can handle. It's tune on the rich side plus i dont run it hard in the video. It was built to drag race against my bud's stadium truck with a .21. It cant turn/handle to for crap. The previous engine was an RB Concepts .12 turbo. It was a beast and put this engine to shame.

You looking into onroad or offroad?

Also, top speed has way too many factors. IMO, buying the fastest model you see is a bad way to go about things.
