Well, I narrowed it down to 4 choices:
  1. Associated RC10GT2
  2. Traxxas Nitro Sport
  3. XTM Nitro X-cellerator
  4. HPI Firestorm 10T

Anyone have any personal experience w/ any of these machines?

ok very cool....with my personal expierience HPI is the better brand....they make more parts for it...they are built better....and generally perform better.....like i said if you break anything on an HPI it is alot easier to find what you need and there are alot more HOP-UP parts for when you want to start modding it

Fun toys. I have a duratrax nitro evader, close to what you have.
I have some good advice for you: if your ST doesn,t have a Failsafe, GO AND BUY ONE NOW!!! They are cheap insurance. If the batteries go weak it is sure as shit to go wide open and cruise off into the great blue yonder, or slam into a inanimate object at WOT. The first time mine did that thankfully it was comming back to me and I was able to run out and stop it with my foot (YYEEEEEOOWWW MOTHER*^%$). Needless to say I marched straight to my local hobby shop and bought one ($17).

You'll soon become a pro at glueing new tires onto rims too. Fun little bastards they are!
