A buddy of mine just got a traxxas nitro stadium truck i believe it is. He doesnt knwo much about them i had one years ago but never got into it. He just ordered all kinds of parts for it including shocks. My question is what type of oil do you use in the shock? And with the new shocks it said you might have to use the stock x-ring from the shocks. What is teh x ring?

You Need To Use Silocone Oil For The Shocks...and Suprisingly Olive Oil Works Just As Well

The oil will come in different weights, the higher the number, the thicker it is.......and the X-ring is a seal inside the shock.......

he's right.

Shock oil is pretty cheap. So use what ever the OEM specs are then go from there if u arent happy.

well we tried throwin in some 5wt and it didnt really do much thats why i was curious if there was maybe a certain oil you should buy.
