Default 125 on RC fuel?

I have a t-maxx and a Revo that I love. So much that I want to try the 20% or 33% in one of my 125 engines. If i burn up parts, thats not a problem as I build MANY of these engines anyways. My main question before I start diving into this project is to see if anyone out there has tried RC fuel in their bigger 2-strokes(80, 125, 250....) whatever. Just want to be sure that when I kill the ignition, it will kill the motor, and what carb/jetting I should start with. Was planning on just starting with a alky carb for a baseline and see where it goes. Ill keep the compression low so it cant diesel(hopefully) and back the timing way off. Any thoughts?

as far as I know about rc fuels, they're actually more like diesel. In other words, they require high compression and a glow plug and the mixture burns at a faster rate than regular gas, under those conditions. That being said, in an engine with spark advance, the fuel might burn too much before your piston passes tdc, and cause the thing to run backwards, at best and might burn a hole in your piston at worst. When I was in Italy a few years back, I found that "Gazol" was actually diesel, and "Petrol" was gas. When I put gazol in my rental, well... it didn't go far. In other words I wouldn't do it. HTH...

rc nitro fuel is meant for rc nitro engines.
it may work for a little while but will prolly run like shite and burn a hole in your piston. Because with that fuel i think it combusts faster which in a gas engine would probably cause pre ignition im guessing,
theres really no sense of trying it, it will only cause problems.
but if for the sake of science you want to blow your engine giv'er

Theres way too much oil in R/C fuel, around 16% you want 5%. Also they are alcohol and nitro- your carb will not be jetted big enough. You most likely hole your piston provided you can burn all that oil. Finally one more reason. Some gas carb have a neoprene fuel inlet needle. The nitro will eat it and your carb will leak out the overflow.

diesel engines dont require a glow plug they rely on compression for ignition the glow plug is just there for a cold start aid

Good luck getting a diesel to run without one

i wouldnt do it, you will fuck your engine, those rc fuels do have a lot of oil, i dont see why you would waste a pefectly good running 125 engine like that

Why Do Diesel Engines Need Glow Plugs?

Unlike gasoline engines in which spark plugs ignite a premixed air-fuel mixture in the combustion chamber, diesel engines work according to the so-called self-ignition process. With this process, intake air is compressed and close to top dead center diesel fuel is injected into the combustion chamber. The injected fuel mixes with the compressed air, evaporates and ignites almost simultaneously because the intake air heats up during compression and diesel fuel has a relatively low ignition temperature. No external ignition device like a spark plug is needed. However, with a cold diesel engine, the compression temperature might not be high enough to ensure proper ignition of the injected diesel fuel, causing inconvenience to the driver and increased exhaust emissions. The glow plug - an electrical heating device - helps to solve this problem.
like he said, they dont need glow plugs to run.
