As you can see I'm not much into quads or dirtbikes.. I'm the guy on the honda atc250sx in most of those pics.

I was under the impression that you needed a permit from reading coal co. to legally ride in shamokin/treverton?

no u dont neeed a permit,
i have road treverton many times, and it is absolutley AWESOME i must say, there are so many trails u could get urself lost out there real fast, u can ride up to some real high points and look down over HUUUGE EMPTY valleys in all directions, its absolutley beutiful play to ride and the trails are so nice, very few rocks, puddles, u can really open up a 2 stroke at a place like this, u can fly
there are some mines thaty have been re-opened as of recent we have heard from locals, but there is so many dam places to park and ride, it doesnt even matter. if u want directions or somethin or details let me know, its a great place to ride, and no one gives u shit, camp, ride, party, whatever, anything goes

Thanks for the info on that. Alot of guys I ride with used to go there a few years ago but haven't lately because of the rumors of vehicles being towed and getting fined.

well as far as i understand this area we are both talking about spans like 20+ miles... we have talked to many locals and they said you can prety much ride whereveer u want, good rule of thumb for PA- if there is NO TRESSPASSING SIGNS, DO NOT GO THERE, because VERY VERY rarley will u EVER see those signs, so the very very few times u might see them, turn around, not even worth it... theres so much land to ride its ridiculous... i can give u better directions to "coal hill" (the place in huevos where the dudes flys off the top) thats where i park when i go, on any given weekend, theres like 10-20 cars parked up the top on a flat spot, real ool place, no one bothers u, people sit up there and drink beers, hangout, whatever, then there are other places people park, u could be 10 miles into the forest and a guy in a 2004 chevy tohoe will pass you with a trailer on the back driving through the middle of the forest to one of the many parking spots , its hilarious really to see some of the people out there, beat up old saturns and shit, flyin through the woods, its a great place, no one bothers anyone
