Default 2005 NHSA Grass Drags a MAJOR dissapointment

Well guys I have to say I have always praised and mentioned the grass drags year after year to you guys this year I have to say I was majorly dissappointed. We showed up around 11:15 we went over to were the action was which was the water crossing. Then at Noon time it said in the program that there was going to be the sledneck show at noon so we went over to get our spots and waited and waited finally they started the show a little after 12:45. Maybe they reschedules it and didn't tell anyone but it really sucks standing in the cold for 45 minutes seeing nothing. So the slednecks were very dissapointing but some not in there control. One sled bend a set of bars another had problems with there sled and the other guy hit the jumps probably 10 times. Still a good show but nothing compaired to last year. So we then decided to check out the grass drags to see what was going on since there was no activity going on over there. Well we soon found out that nothing was going on over there. Everything was packed up not even a sled to be found. Well nobody can control the weather so oh well I guess. WRONG sorry back up so they cancel the grass drags but still charged me full price at the gate. That is a bunch of shit sorry to say. If they needed money ask for donations I would have given it but to charge me to see 1/2 the show thats just stupid.

Well here is my letter to the head of the NHSA (New Hampshire Snowmobile Association).

[quote]I’ve been going to the grass drags for close to 10 years now. I have seen it grow from less than 1000 visitors to over the 10,000 mark. I went this year on Sunday as we always do. I have to say I was very disappointed. Now you’re probably thinking how can he be disappointed it was weather related and out of our control. It wasn’t the weather I was upset about nor was it the grass drags being canceled. To tell you the truth it wasn’t even the disappointing show the Slednecks put on.

I understand the weather controls the outcome of an event like this. So to get to my point I was very upset that you charged me full price ($12) to get in when the main attraction was canceled. We started our day by going over to the water crossing which is fun. Then we watched the Sled necks at Noon time (actually 12:45) so then we figured we would go find out what was going on over at the drags. Well we were amazed to see nothing was there not a sled is sight. So my question to you is this proper business to charge full price when you’re only giving half a show? I’ve seen the price go up from $3 and have had no problems when you give a full show. I just think it was very unprofessional and un-business like to charge people $12 when the main part of the show was canceled.

Not to mention there was no mention of the cancellation when we purchased our tickets. If you needed the money that’s fine I would have given a donation but to require that kind of money and not give the show we are paying for to me that is just wrong.

Please feel free to respond, I understand why you might not what to respond but I must mention that this email is being posted on my website that gets over 100,000 unique visitors a year.

Thank you for your time
