Well, I'm not sure how this course was set up... but I've been to Rausch creek and I can tell you the last thing you want to do in an XC race is get aggressive in the MX portions... especially if they used the expert MX track. XC is very much an endurance race instead of a sprint like MX... so you'll probably only see the real top notch pro's hitting the big air... and that's only if they're in a tight battle at the time. Definitely need to finesse the course when you're riding for 12 hours.

I put some on some car windows, but I didn't get the time to give them all out. Honestly there didn't seem to be that many spectators. It was mostly people involved with the racers. My girlfriend is pregnant and it was a bit dusty there so I don't think we were there much more than an hour. Here's a link to all of the pictures I took there. They are scaled down for all you dial up fools. I'll post some up on the site tomorrow when I have time. That link will probably be down tomorrow night for a bit while I try to figure end a problem I'm having with a switch from cable to DSL.

I get what you mean Greg, but I still think some of them were being pussys. There's a pic of a guy on a raptor riding around the jump so he didn't have to go over it. There was caution tape trying to prevent it, but he went out of his way to go around the jump. If you are that weak then don't participate in the race. Hell, I'm gettin fat and I know I wouldn't last too long in that type of race so I don't do it, hehe....

How big is a "decent" double? And were they using any part of the "bikes only" expert track for this quad race?

Haha... I almost cried laughing... there's one pic with two Warriors neck and neck... no matter how many times I see it, it always makes me laugh to watch someone race a Warrior.
