I am die hard American Bass. Ive delt with the VFL's, right now im rolling with 2 12" DX series on a 800watt amp. Its a very good system for a daily driver... I know my shits a ton better than my buddies running the JL's @ like 5x the price

I've jumped around on sound systems....but once you have subs, you cant stand riding in a vehicle without them....but here's the history:
In my 89 grand am that i totaled, i first had 2 mtx thunder 1000's (12 inch) running from a pile of aids Crunch USA amp, said 700 watts outta 2 ports...yeah right...but that thing pounded liek all hell, till the subs friend their own wires...
Then I went about 2 years without one, till I got 2 Pheonix gold Tantrium X 12's....those were allright, not thebest quality but it was ok....
Well the crunch usa finally took a shit after I hooked all 4 wires comming out of it up to 1 sub...and the amp blew lol...So I got a P-Miller amp from my buddy, no idea on the wattage....well I baught the rest of his system, 2 JL's...no idea what kind, W whatever....12's, and they hit allright, much clearer than the PG's, but I need a ported box....
Next year Im looking to upgrade again and get my s-10 shaking off the god damn frame....

my friends got 2 oryan 12s in a ported box i cant remember wat kinda amp or how many watts but it BEATS

I have a 3rd hand Sony deck that sometimes read CDs pushing all factory Ford speakers. I did the whole bass thing two years ago with two 12's and it got old. It took up too much space.

Plus all the wanna be ghetto wiggers around here look like idiots thinking they are the shit with tons of bass as they pass and their trunk rattles. Opps, kinda went on a rant there. My mistake.

Ya iknow what you mean, i was into the bass thing too, but anymore i go for sound quality. I just like to be able to drive and listen to my XM radio and have it sound good with out it ratling my car apart. Im on the road alot and i just personaly think its a good investment to have something good sounding ratehr than shaking the fuckin earth

But my truck on the other hand, thats just for show and bass is always cranked on it with the subs hitting full force

my systems not finished yet but almost i'll have a 13w7 fiberglassed into my trunk and ported its running will be running 1 ohm from a cadence 1500 watt amp and a nice component systems already installed now i ned the nice flip up gell touch screen head unit and its in a hatchback one sub hitting that low that hard ported! one sub is so clean
