helmet question

Today while riding, my "visor" on my helmet started to bother me. When go fast, the air hits it and my head kinda goes back. My question is what purpose if any does the visor on helmets have. Mine is removable and it also has a little play in it when it's on.

yeah just to keep the sun out of your eyes, when you are behind someone (like lets say mud running) you put your head down and it protects your face and neck from roost....and they make some helmets look trick

I use mine to deflect roost, Just joy riding of course cause if I'm racin I'm in front LOL

You can probably pick up a troylee visor for your helmet, I have one on my shoei and I like it a lot better than the stock visor.
