true, hopefully if someone gets chased its at night when the cops cant specify on what type of quad or dirtbike your riding, the day time thats different the would know what color quad u were ridingand the color riding gear etc unless you change ur disquise when u lose him

my son and friends were chased right into our driveway........warnings were given and that was it.......have to say the law here is pretty much understanding.....probabley cause they ending up saying they ride as well!

I have never been chased by the cops.We used to get stopped by them at al ocal spot on the road,and they were cool.We would have 30 packs of beer on our laps even.They just wanted to know what you were doing.We just had to ride a side road for 200 feet to get to the trails.If that was all we were doing they were cool with it.
Now I have been chased by a crazy old farmer.I would like to bitch slap that guy.we werent even on his property,we just road down the road past his house.He would come out taking pics of us riding down the road.Well one day he chased us.My buddy split off the group,and the farmer had the roads littered with sheriff's.They busted my buddy big time.Fines comunity service,etc etc.
The rest of us got away from the farmer.He is old and will die soon.
So i will bye my time and when he goes,I will start going back to that ride spot.Until then though,I stay away.

Now would I run???
Depends.I have a state sticker on my quad,If i was not drinking,and just riding on the side of the road with helmet,lights etc etc,At a slow pace,being respectful.I would STOP.Cuase really I am in the realm of being legal as far as our state laws go.If they try to give me shit,I could fight it in court.
As long as I am not drinking I would stop no matter what I guess.I would give them a chance to be cool.If they throw the book at me,I would eat crow and pay their fines,and never ride where they can bust me again.
However,If they chased me out of the unknown and I was drinking,I would prolly run.I cant get a dui.

But the thing is,It is all the guys ripping around cul de sacs,on the streets that have gotten the cops wound up about atv's.A few bad apples gets the ball rolling,and now they are out to bust everyone.
I typically DO NOT ride in illegal areas.
I trailer my stuff to a legit ride area.I pay the fee,ride and go home and not worry bout it.
I am out to promote a good image for atv riders.
I say dont ride in illegal areas.Be responsible and bad things wont happen and you will not have to run.You keep your bike,save your money,and maybe your life.
No matter what,running form the fuzz is not good.You cant outrun their radio anyway.And a losing quad costing 5000 bucks,jail time, loss of, liscense aint worth it.

my blaster got impounded last month, 350 dollars later i got it back, no place to run on suburban streets, no little trail pathways, i was stuck between an undercover cop and 2 guardrails I plan on runnin next time tho, don't know if I will have the room, we will see!!

well id prolly run from the cops if they saw me on the streets but itd be kinda hard to ditch them so idk.......but me & my friends ran from the cops & rangers a few times in the hills & sand mt., sand mountain rangers have like two dune buggys i think a z400 & a craptor & some trucks, but the rangers are stupid & slow & dont know what there doing so if you know the mountain & know how to ride you would have know problem loseing them.....

haha funny thing i ran one time cause there is a cop that lives by me and i was toped out on a long ride by my house he was turning into his drive way and i saw him so i turned around about 2 blocks away and i saw him turn on his lights but i was goin fast and i turned into my block and my garage was open and he was still far so i turned in the closed the door and he was driving around for about 30min lol but if i see a cop i wave and most of the time they wave back but if i see is lights on im runnin lmao
