Default How Hard?

How hard would it be for a 4 year old boy to learn to ride a PW50? A dealer here has his on sale and we think we wanna buy it but, I think he would do better with the quad since that is what he is used to riding. What do you all think?

I started out on a mini bike with a 3hp motor back when I was that age...Truthfully, I think it's the best thing to learn on 2 wheels first....It gave me excellent understanding of balance and all those manuvers you wouldnt learn on a quad....Dont get me wrong, I have my scars and injureys from it especially when I began to get more guts...But overall I would want to learn the same way all over again....I got a mr50 here for when I have a kid one day...

i dont think it would be hard at all for him, as long as the 50 is automatic or semiauto or whatever, personally i prefer 2 wheels to 4 which is why i am sayin this, i say get him it, have him try it out, tell u what he likes better quads or bikes and then you can always sell it again

He loves to ride. I dont think he wil have to choose because he can have both, just not both brand new. He has been asking for something that runs on gas because his battery dies too quick. He is a smart boy, he knows we always have gas.

Scars and injuries is what I am afraid of. His sperm donor might try abuse excuse to try to get custody.

hell, just suit him up in armor and slap him on that pw50, he will do great, and I wouldn't worry about serious injury until he gets on an 80, as long as you supervise him, and make sure he wears heavy clothes or even gear, he will do fantastic, i learned on a 3.5hp minibike also, teaches you great skills for the bigger bikes.

50's are perfect for 4 year olds, i was a really small 4 year old and the old 50 was great for me, i think i actually started just before i turned like 3 1/2 with some training wheels cobbled on it.... it was like a week or two and i was cruising with out the training wheels. if you can ride a BMX you can ride a motorcyle IMO.

ya i know people that learned to ride a 50 before a peddle bike, but you can just put some training wheels on in the beggining, and get him some MX gear and you wont have to worry about him getting hurt
