im sure everybody here has had injurys or accidents from riding or work or even just freak incidents, and you got the scars to prove it and probably a story about em to.....so post em up. post up pics if you got em and give us the full report on what happened if you want. heres a few things thats happened to me (not in order that they happened in).

in janurary 2006, I ran through a barb wire fense on my banshee and caught the top strand right in the throat. it ended up cutting my windpipe in two and messing up my vocal chords. I rode the shee back home holding a shirt over my throat and my parents rushed me to the hospital where they put in a emergency tracheostomy and then air-lifted me to another hospital, Universisity of louisville hospital. I stayed there for about 2 weeks where they stitched up the 6 inch long gash across the front of my throat and sew back together my windpipe. I had to wear a trach, its like a plastic tube that runs through a hole in your throat/wind pipe that I had to breath through because the part of my windpipe that they sewn back together had almost filled up inside with scar tissue, kinda like a clogged up faucet drain, and also had to have a stomach tube for about a month since I couldnt swallow food for a little while. had to wear the trach for about a year and 4 months, and the whole time I could not speak at anything above a wisper cause my vocal chords were paralyzed. then in April of this year I had surgery in nashville, TN and they removed the trach, went in and cut the portion of the windpipe that was blocked with scar tissue and sewn it back together. spent about a week in the hospital recovering. and now I dont have the trach anymore and have a voice now, but I cannot talk very loud because the vocal chords are still paralyzed. and I run out of breath real easy sometimes. but that pretty much sums it all up. alot of people say I was very lucky that I turned out as well as I did.

and some more minor scars I got are one on my knee cap where I was cleaning out briars in my trails with a machette and I made a bad mislick and hacked right into my knee cap, right to the bone. its healed up pretty good though. then at work, made a mislick with the grinder and bumped my leg, left a nice little 2 inch scar. then at home I was cutting a piece of metal in the vice wit ha big grinder (yea it was stupid) and the grinder jerked and got me in the chest/abdomen right below my titty. left a pretty strange scar there too.

for some reason when ever i gash open any part of my skin, it just heals back, and then theres no scar, its kinda weird. only thing kinda life threatening that i ever did was swallow a nickle when a iwas a baby lol, btu that got pulled out, but my dumbest story, is taht all my front teeth are fake, i have a friend who also has all fake front teeth, and atleast he has a cool story and is able to say that he fell on a 50 foot double on his crf450, but i did it by sliping getting out of the shower lol

ive never had too bad of an accident thats broken anything but here they go.
1: when i was like 10 i was riding a very old yamaha 80 4 stroke and i was going about a corner and it was gravel tapped the back brake slid and fell off, had to get 20 stitches in my right elbow and i had a pretty big gash in my knee.
2: i was going off a little 20ft tabletop with a honda 150r and over jumped and landed on flat ground and hit my neck on the neck guard on the bars didnt do too much help, and plopped off and i ended up spraining my neck.

Aahah well supposedly when i was 18 months old i was walking around my house with my walker and my dad left the basement door open and i rolled down the stair and landed on the concrete floor below and cracked my head and i wasnt breathing and shit they thought i was deadand i got like 1% brain damage

another one i was playing on the ice i sliped hit my head and got a really bad concusion was in the hospital for about 4 days and i was passed out for 1 day.

ya all of my serious injuries have been internal, i moved a vertibre out of place in a skiing crash, i sprained my ankle countless times skiing, broken my foot 3 times, broke my wrist on a snowmobile, broken my nose 6 times, i always have shin bang from skiing(really pain full bruises on your shin from landing leaning to far back) and about a week ago i fucked up my knee landing way off balance skiing

well is was more of a freak accident I guess. I just got home from work that evenin and wanted to take a quick run through my trails on the banshee before it got dark. and I was just cruzin along like normal like I ride all the time, and I did one of my hill climbs thats starts down in a valley and comes up into a hay field. so im in the field riding around the edge beside an old fense row and a old barn. so I decided this time to go a different way around the barn then usual and then go straight through this open gap in the fense row that has some more of my trails in it. but what I didnt know was the gap was closed with 3 strands of barb wire and I had no idea at all untill I got to within like 20 or so feet and I barely seen it, and it was like I froze up, like I couldnt react or anything. im in like 3rd gear, probably goin about 15 or 20mph id guess when I hit the fense. the banshee bust through the bottom 2 wires buit I get clotheslined by the top wire and if knocks me off the bike into a backflip it felt like and then I hit the ground and rolled. and for like 5 or 10 seconds I was layin on the ground lookin up at the sky and everything is spining in circles. then finally I raised up and was still real dizzy but I couldnt breath very good. felt like somebody punched you in the stomach and your trying to catch your breath but you cant breath in or out. so for like 10 seconds im trying my hardest to catch my breath adn I finally start breathing just a little but its real hard. and the whole time my throat is feeling real cold and tingly, like its numb, almost like somebody came up and slapped you as hard as they could in the throat. so I pull my helmet off real easy and I raise my hand to feel my throat and I feel air coming out of it. then right then and there thats when it hit me that I was fucked up bad and I needed to get back to the house as fast as I could. the banshee was like 20 or 30 feet away in some weeds beside a fense row. I easy over to it and start it and make my way back home. I was lucky to that there is a black top road right beside the fense where it happend, and I rode about almost a mile to the house. then my parents rushed me to the hospital.

the deal with the fense that was put up was one of our neighbors had rented that field from my dad to put some horses in, and I knew he was going to close the gap sooner or later, but didnt know when exactly. and my dad knew that he closed the gap that day, but didnt get a chance to tell me. so its real hard to blame anybody for what happend I guess. but all I know is, it happened and its over with and im healed up far better than what alot of people thought I would be. and most of all I just thank god im still alive and im able to still ride and do the things I want.
