| Toyota is coming out with a diesel, I don't think they will hit the market till like 2010 or so. If I remember right they are rated at like 600 horsepower or something like that. |

| Tony is on his final year of his contract right now. For all of the Hendrick fans out there, be ready for a new teammate. Unless Tony starts his own team I seriously see him headed into the Hendrick garage. If that happens, Hendrick will be a very hard team to beat. I have been a "Smoke" fan since day 1 and will continue to be.

| Honestly I use to hate Nascar. When I met my wife she was and still is a huge J. Gordon fan. My computer room probably has atleast 30k in Nascar memorabilia. Her uncle was Bobby Isaac. Anybody that has been into Nascar for any amount of time will know who Bobby Issac was. Anyways, We had very little in common and in order to spend time together we had to give and take. I got her into off-road racing and quads and in turn I began to get interested in Nascar. That was Tonys Rookie year in Nascar and I liked his style so I picked the "New Guy" as my driver and have been a fan since. So back to today. Following Tony all of these years, I can see he is not performing to his potential. He DID NOT want to go to Toyota but it wasn't his decision. Toyota put out a ton of money in R&D to the Gibbs Racing Team and in turn Gibbs has made Toyota a contender in Nascar. I am a die hard Chevy guy and that won't change, but just because Tony has to drive a Toyota does that mean I will find another driver to root for? Not gonna happen. I think Robbie Gordon is a kick ass off road racer, but aside from the road courses is a shitty driver on pavement. As far as Tonys future, He is a hot commodity in this sport. He doesn't have to race anymore to survive. He could walk away tomorrow and still be raking in the money. He won't go to just any team. He basically already told RCR to piss off and he wasn't interested. Hendrick has the money, the support and 3 of the top and most noteable drivers already. Why not add the 4th ( Tony ) and make Hendrick Motorsports a solid threat to any team in Nascar? Tony told his dad when he started in Nascar that when he got bored with Nascar he would quit and move on to other things. I don't think he is ready to walk away just yet. We will see what happens at the end of this season.

| Tony is under contract until the end of the 09 season. Chevrolet will buy him out of that contract so he can be a part owner/driver at HAAS/CNC. Mark Martin will be the new driver in the Hendrick #5 car and will run the whole season. As far as I am concerned I dont really get all excited about it any more since feb 18 2001. |

| You are correct. The report I read on his contract was wrong. Right now the only thing I can find on HAAS is that it is still a rumor and has not been announced yet. It also states that Office Depot will likely be the main sponsor if this holds true. Once again you can never count your chickens too soon and only time will tell the real truth. Thanks for giving me more up to date and correct info on this subject.
