Talking What do YOU do!!!

im just curious what everyone dose for a living. nothing to specific if you dont want to tell all but just a title or share all you want to. i have always wondered what other people do for a living to afford their toys, is it thrifty shopping and trading or a great network of friends or do you make the big bucks at work and have plenty to spend on toys?

just wondering!

Oh god where to start.

1- Fulltime Truck boss/ lead dispatcher and job service for Cemex.
2- Welding instructor for the college here
3- fabricator/ welder for Advanced TIG welding
4- Own my own small race fab shop

Yes I am a busy man and have very little time to do the things I want but i always seem to make it happen.

I fix furnaces and air conditioners. Been at it since 95, money is getting better now that I am moving into the commercial end of the business. Was thinking that with the recent raise I would be able to buy and restore all the machines I want (250r trx & atc, tri-z, lt250 and 500), but soon after that I found out my wife is pregnant so i guess I cant complain if it takes awhile to get the the 250r I have now done and start a new one.

As for parts and machines, i hadn't had a bike in a couple years and fell into an 86 for $200 no not a typo. It is a clean/straight machine and it ran for 20 minutes after I bought it...lol Parts I just save for or try to barter, good thing in my line of work is I can put in a furnace for someone and clear a grand, makes parts easier to get, but you never know when you will get the next side job.

BTW on that note anyone in the Capital District in NY I am your furnace guy when you need a new one give ya a good price and some of the best quality around!

I work in the copper mines, where I am a miner and also a Heavy Equipment repair technician (Diesel engines, and heavy hydraulic and pneumatic machinery. Outside of my normal job, I have a fab shop, where I build anything and everything having to do with the motorsports industry. I race on the semi-pro Drag circuit Mirock for drag motorcycles. And I also build race cars.

I build all my own everything. Engines, handbuild chassis's whatever. I also pretty much custom build any one off parts I need via my buddies Machine shop. Full access to state of the art CNC, mills, presses, water jets etc....

I do alot of wheelin and dealin to get machines, although some I just outright buy if I want it.
