Seems like we just did 1 of these. Anyways here goes.

#1. Truck boss, lead dispatcher, job service for Cemex
#2. Welding instructor for Cochise College
#3. Welder, Fabricator for Advanced TIG Welding
#4. I own Twisted by Design which is a small race fab/welding shop

I also take on any automotive, mechanical etc. job that comes my way. I have no life and zero free time for the most part.

heres where I work, http://www.stuppbridge.com/planttour.html

been there since august 07. hired in as a helper but later applied for a welder position and got that around november. they teach you all you need to know there (set on a bucket all night and practice the different welding procedures), and then you take weld tests and they xray the welds and then they make you state certified if it passes. I mostly weld with flux core and stick (7018 and 8018 rods) and sometimes sub-arc welding. I work 2nd shift, 3:30 to midnight, 5 days a week, makin 13$ an hour. not really gettin rich but it pays the bills and also I got great insurance coverage and even a 401k plan.

I love what I do except my fulltime job. I don't want to be the 70 yr. old with nothing and still trying to make it on the Walmart greeter salary so that is why I choose to bust my ass now.

Advanced TIG Welding is the name of the company. We do everything from SS, Moly, Aluminum etc. We also do alot of Aerospace work for Northrop Grumman. It is myself and the owner for the most part. He is also a welding instructor at the college.

if heights don't bother you much, you can learn to weld and get a job being an iron worker.. you know those dudes walking way the hell up in the air welding beams when they build those scrappers and tall buildings. I'm all set walking on narrow beams that high...so I keep my ass on the ground mostly..

I agree. you have to pick something that you can see your self doing for the next 30 years or so. I got into shooting camera for a local TV station when I was 17. I went to college for a while but once I started doing some freelance work in professional sports I learned that a degree won't get me any further than I already am, so I droped out. I make pretty good money, don't really have to bust my ass too much, and I love what I do. Plus the girls love a guy carrying a big ass camera around Just an idea.

If you want to make some good money on the side just buy and sell shit. like land, cars, drugs, anything. just remember to buy low and sell high.
