New Job

This has nothing to do with 2 strokes or quads in general, just wanted to share that I have been offered a new job with a substantial raise and I am happy as hell, just heard today and I had to share it with someone so why not all of you

I have a psych degree, currently work with kids who are having school attendance issues, but I am switching to alcohol and substance abuse counseling more along the lines of what I went to school for and forked out all that money so I could have a piece of paper saying I am smart . lol

my mother is a mobile therapist for state of florida and helps kids deal with lifes troubles ,she has a masters degree(9 years of school) from alleghany college in pa
she makes up her own hours and schedules mostly 25-30 per week and primarily makes charts and plays xbox with them and asks about there feelings,she makes 34$ per hour straight pay to so called counsel them. ive watched her do it ,its a real cake job compared to mine(tool and die maker)

Man congrats. I wish I got like a raise or promoted...7 bucks and hour and being hte farms bitch is getting kinda sucky...but the paycheck is pretty nice..

My current job is kind of like that eviltwin, play pool and video games with the kids, but I also check on kids that skip school and spend a lot of time freezing my butt off The job is like hell for my truck, on/off on/off on/off every five minutes. So this will be a nice change, your Mom's job sounds awesome, sometimes that is all kids need is that little extra attention while just others really need someone to talk with.
Evy, 7$ an hour for a farm job is pretty good, better than they pay here in NY! Plus you are still in school right? So it is like a stepping/learning stone for you that gets you a paycheck

Congrats man I'm glad your listening to people because I hate to. I rather people just leave me alone I get a lot more done when I can shut the door and lock my self away.

Since we are on non ATV related stuff, I just sent over a bid on a house not sure if I will get it because there is another offer on the table right now. SUCKS playing the waiting game now. Really hope it works because it has a really nice garage and I really need a place to work on my many toys at this point.

Thanks and good luck on your house bid! That is what makes life hard, waiting and waiting, it would be great if things would come along a little faster sometimes, I took the civil service test about 3 years ago and just got the job, but I am sure it will have been worth the wait.
My wife and I plan on starting to look for a house in a few years, then we get to play the bid and wait game

I'm at my job for 2 years this friday (I can't believe I've been here that long already). So it's review time and I'll hopefully be getting another raise. It probably won't be anything great, just 6% but that's something.

Good luck with the house Jason. I just went through that last year and I finally got a decent place. I think I rushed into it too quickly though and didn't wait it out long enough. The place I have is nice, but I probably could've found someplace better for the money.
