2005 Yamaha Grizzly 660

I had to let you guys know about this one.... My girlfriend's brother-in-law just bought a new grizzly about a month or 2 ago. He thinks it's sooo badass and makes his little boy think it's fast too. HIS 4 YEAR OLD SON TOLD ME HIS DADDY'S QUAD WAS FASTER THAN MINE!!!!!! I wonder if his daddy thinks that too? That will be a funny race when it happens, but on to my point.

He was out with a buddy screwing around in the mud and thoroughly screwed up either the transmission or the 4 wheel drive. I don't have the full story, but what I do know is he cannont get it out of 2 wheel drive. It's already back at the dealer getting warranty work done.....

The moral of the story:
A light beating on a new 4 stroke (grizzly)equals out to major overhauls while a thorough beating on a new 2 stroke (blaster) equals out to endless amounts of fun with only general maintenance.......

haha, $8k on a piece of shit or $3k on a dependable machine... you make the decision... plus I bet I could make an ass out of him on the blaster!!!!

I have to say I do like the grizzly for what it is. If I needed something around the house to pull shit that would be what I would get. Sucks that it fell apart just playing in the mud.

Actually I would like a rhino for when I go and get a house. Put a plow on the front that would be nice.

Grizzly's aren't bad at all...very nice work quads....and mudding well my friends 01 does fairly well...when his back yard was a mess I could fallow him around with the blaster and I only got stuck once because I was going too slow...he had to winch me out it was bad..

BIg K used to have a grizzly a coupl eyears back, he had it lifted a ton and 29.5 inch tires on it, that thing was seriously unstoppable. HAHA 370 and I wne t for a fun ride at my buddies farm. You guys know those big 6-foot high round hay bales you see in hayfields? Well 370 and saw a few of those out in the field, he just kinda looked at me and said Hold On to that rack or something, we gotta try this. pulled right up to it, and the huge front tires stuck out past the bumper, so into 4 low we go, and we would climb all the way up the bale as far as it could go over the top of it, and then he'd let out of the throttle and sit the back end down on the rack, hit it again and up we'd go....haha that was pretty badass.

Yeah they aren't too bad, me and my friend load his by putting it in 4 low and lock in the frnt end, which is also a very nice feature...and we'de climb teh trailer...or a tree...or anything lol

yeah If I had to get a 4x4 utility, it would probably be a grizzly.

I wouldn't get a polaris though...my friend had the 600 something or other...it was a pile...and soo tipsy. We beat the shit out of it....we didnt try to its just everytime it went out (or end over end lol) something would manage to break....

The grizz on the other hand...holds up...even though my friend fried the clutch on it like the first year they had it lol. I'm still amazed at how they did that...I can't figure it out...

I was just talking to him tonight and nobody got back to him yet on what is wrong with it. It's a nice quad. If I had the money to shit away on one for plowing and crap I would, but they just aren't my thing.
