I like both MX and Drag racing...but i would much rather be MXing, and no MXing isnt just for bikes...in your world it might be but plenty of people think it differently...not trying to argue or piss you off or anything

Geez... don't take it so literally... of course top speed "matters", in drag racing and dune riding especially.

But in all practical applications, top speed is inconsequential. How fast you can get up to speed out of the corners, how much torque you can deliver to the ground climbing hills, how hard of a throttle hit you can smack down in the whoops to stay on top of them, and how quick your throttle response is matters WAY more than who can go 5mph faster than the other guy at 6th gear WOT. I'm not even talking just about MX... I suck at MX, but even trail riding and XC top speed really makes no difference.

My blaster probably does between 55 and 65 depending on the gearing.. that's not "fast", but it is a hell of a lot faster than a lot of quads with 70+mph top speeds.

Well 370 this thread was about drag racing so Duning and Flattracking are not even part of the conversation.

Yes if someone only has a top speed of 45 then you will pass them because your top end is higher. My point was you can't say "because I beat him by 5 lenghts I must have been going 10mph faster." All that means is he accelerated faster. I was just trying to point out the flaw in that thinking.

Thank you! finally someone else who realizes mx just isn't for bikes. I don't think 370 even realizes how big the ATV MX industry has gotten.

I really want to set my Blaster up for MX, but my funds are going towards a truck...so I'll just be throwing a few mods on at a time...maybe it'll work out for me to be able to race some this summer....

a grizzly cant do 66mph anyway he was lying my uncle had one and did top speed of 61 and i have a hard time believing that a warrior could do that or even beat a stock grizzly warriors where designed with beginners and women in mind no self respecting drag racer would be cought dead on one i could drink a tall glass of beer while racing a warrior without spilling it
