| erik you talk alot of shit about ricey stuff but then you go saying how your dads lowered explorer with "ricey" brembo brakes and im guessing some rims is so cool. I give domestic cars no credit at all when i read the HP of a mustang GT. Its an 8 cylinder and its only putting out 250ish HP thats damn sad. At least back in the day they put out some power not that they were too reliable but at least they were putting out sensible power. If someone gave me a corvette c06 that had over 50,000 wasted on it for a fiberglass or plastic body whatever it is and some fancy interior and a big motor id sell it and buy another supra or a newer style turbo rx-7 for 20,000 and put the other 30,000$ into the motor and the thing would be untouchable putting out at least 700hp if you did it somewhat right. I dont doubt that his car got in the 14s its all in how you drive it and hes right intakes and exhausts make some serious differences. I love rx7s just the way they sound especially a really modified newer one with a lightened flywheel and a good exhaust they rev just like a 2-stroke.

| is it true that those rotatary engines rev to like 16 000 rpm...its would make sense cause they dont dont change direction like a piston...and yes you could easily make 700hp with 30k....

| and is a rotarty engine considered like a 2 stroke of 4 stroke cause it aint either of them? so is it own class sjut called rotary?

| Alright erik... enough. Back on topic.... Rotary engines kick ass and Mazda does make a hell of a good sports car. We shouldn't be talking about what it can or can't beat... because unless the two vehicles are lined up... none of this talk matters beyond basic common sense.

| haha smokin gun, what are u talkin about? when did i ever say my dads old explorer (exploder as we called it, went through 3-4 water pumps in a year and 2 tansfer cases) was so cool?? all i was doing was using that as ex example as to how brainwashed my brother was about VW's , just liek this kid is with rx7's....yea the explorer was lowered, for handlign purposes u idiot, and yes it had bigger rims and tired, once again for handleing purposes dumb ass... u gona supercharge a a fuckin SUV without lowering it and puttin rims and tires on it? ud have to be outa your mind.......i gues u read my post wrong... anyway , also i dont recal braging about mustangs either?? in fact i was putting them down... yes its very sad the amount of HP they make for the size if their motors... very very sad, but once again i was usin it as an EXAMPLE again as to how brainwashed some ppl get about their cars being the best... he thinks his mustang gt is the fastest car on the road now, when months earlier, his 175hp gti was.... so basically all im tryin to say is thats how some ppl are, no matter what they drive. its the fastest thing on the road... i dont get into all that shit. im 21, i dont have the money for it, but i think its hilarious wacthin my older brother argue with my dad about whos car is faster, its been goin on since he had his 2liter 115hp GTI when he turned 17, now hes 24, and has his gay ass bullit mustang gt, and just deosnt stop, no matter what his cars are the fastest, my dad could go out and get a ferrari enzo, but thered still be somethin better about the mustang gt in his mind, literally, hes crazy liek that, hed find some little stat or spec that would somehow minpulate into being better then that of the ferraris, thats hwo he is, thats all i was tryin to say, in no way did i say mustang gt's are hot cars, cuase they arnt, the new ones look great i think, but only 300hp, id stick a supercharger on it, then its be a great car... and i never bragged aout my "daddies" explorer either, u read my post wrong i guess, just using it as an example showing how brainwahed my brother was for about 6 years about VW's... in his mind and stories hed tell us he put his 175 hp VW GTI up against gt's, cameros, all sorts of bmw's, all sorts of shit, and beat them all, hahah, and about the cams... my bro had them put in his GTI and about all they did was make it almost fail the emission test on inspection hahah , hes a dumb ass |

| yea ur right mainexport, i got a little off topic, i just flipout about those kids who are brainwashed on a certain brand and cant get off it... yea rx7's are awesoem cars, the newer ones at least, i dont liek that boxy early 90's style,, i rode in my friends 94 or so, that really cool rounded lookin one, it was a turbo and the thing was fuckin fast as hell and cortnered like a mother fucker.... but thats a whole different car then the one George is talkin about with 160hp... |

| Yes... the last generation FD RX-7 is the one you're talking about... and it is just sexy as hell. They are very fast stock and have a load of build potential. The lines are nicely rounded... they look like a little miniature Viper or something. If it's Japanese, Rear wheel drive, and turbo'd I'm a big fan. The Silvia (or swapped 240sx), RX-7, Supra, and Z series Nissans kick ass like true sports cars should. Not just fast in a straight line... but they all have nearly perfect weight distribution and above a .9 skid pad (if not stock... very easy to do in the aftermarket). I think Maxda is very cool for trying the rotary and sticking with it to this day. It's a killer concept and they've got a lot of life long fans because of it.
