Back on topic, yes that truck is sweet. It looks like a 72 with a ttb front end. Very fast. I think he said it was a 514 which is a 460 over bored. 600 + hp IMO. When he gets the Fuel injection done it will be even faster. Hold on! I love it. FORD!

Pops had a 79 Ford & the meter looped itself back to 000000000000! Sold the engine & junked it after a wreck..
Helped my uncle service an early 80's F350 crazy miles [don't remember]. He & a friend drove it from San Francisco to So Cal & down to Mexico.
Four days of straight driving & no probs on the truck.
It was a utility truck with a flatbed, we loaded that bitch up with a cherry picker, mill, two sixty gallon diesel containers [full] & and tons of tools.
Truck still fine and running around yards & highways servicing uncles dozers! Burgie, you know the 10fwy grade by Blythe, on the way to Arizona?
That was the moment of truth for all the weight being carried, ran right thru it!

lol... A friend just got the 6.1 charger and man it rides fast. But when all said and done....... It's still a four door sedan not a 2 door sports coupe!

ya sorry for messin up the thread. the 2500 dodges with the cummins and v8 had problems in like 1999 because they had too much power for the tranny but my dad had one he drove the shit out of and never a single tranny problem they would last if you just servised the tranny like you are supposed to they would over heat or something Dodge is the best you all know it now no more argueing. Its over and done. nice truck even though it is a ford.
