Alot of cheap companies use grossly underpowered trucks, they are painfully slow. My uncle drives a cement tanker, which is a 105,000lb truck, the same as bigger dump trucks, and it only has a 350hp engine. Other times it is just because the guy behind the wheel can't find the gear. To me, the hardest thing about learning to drive a truck was learning how to shift, especially up hill.

| I was mistaken when I said there are naturally aspirated two-stroke diesels. Apparently that is impossible, since the motor doesn't draw from the crankcase and takes its air in from the side of the cylinder at the bottom of the stroke, it needs a supercharger to draw air into the cylinder. So it actually uses motor oil for the crank, which is how the "run-away" diesel can run after you terminate the fuel supply, it actually sucks the crankcase oil in past the rings and burns it.

| Since that is probably a direct-injected motor, I don't think expansion chambers would add anything since there is not a bunch of unburned fuel spilling out into the exhaust.

| My dads 2004 Volvo semi has a Detroit Diesel 60 series in it. 525 hp. But the torque is out of this world. This truck will rip. |
