another oregon duner, right on!!!

im in tigard. i just bought my banshee this summer, befor that i had a 97 cr250 that i had my way with untill i wrecked my R6 and almost lost my leg. so the banshee is the next best thing.

on the cr i would hit up sand lake for the day or if i was camping go down to florance, but labor day i rode coos bay for the first time..... and crashed. spent some time in the hospital for a dislocated hip and went home a very sad boy. not cuz of the wreck, cuz i couldent ride that weekend (which was just plain bad ass weather i might add).

get this, i am in tigard too!! I ride sand lake, and florence when I can get away. Sand lake probably this wednesday. read about your crash. sorry to hear it. I have had my 250r for about 12 years, rode a 3 wheeler before that. My girl friend and her boy ride the blaster and my son rides a 90 E-ton.

im going back down to coos bay on the first, not to ride though. my girlfriends family lives down there and its her grandparents 60th wedding aniversery. 60 years would drive me nuts.

How was sand lake? I need to try and get over there one of these days. I’m in Eugene, got a 4 poke and a Quadzilla project. I usually ride at Florence and Winchester bay.

dont waste your time with sand lake, its just a place us portlanders go for the day. coos bay and wincester are 100 times better. there is just no compaireson.

damn i wish i could pick what dunes to go to. i have 1 choice and it's 3 hours from here. oh yeah i always heard good thing about sand lake. have you guys ever checked out the sand lake duners site??

well sand lake is good for the day (very small). a place to check and tune your new mods. there is 2 decent hills and some tree shots, other than that there is no big dunes there. there is sand. lots of flat sand. a few trails. you can ride all the trails and see all you need to see in one day. you can ride from one end to the other in five minutes. now florence, winchester, and coos bay are real dunes. huge open dunes that actualy involve skill and a little bit more than the average bike, and trails that go forever. i got lost one time out there. if you get lost at sand lake you have mentle issues. dont get me rong though. i like riding dunes more than anything. if i was pysicly capable i would be at sand lake right now.

Cant agree more, dont bother with sand lake. Florence and points south are the way to go. I love the sand and sand lake is near home. It was a good day. Sun, very few other riders and flat beach. And I did'nt have to tow my buddies 86r back to the trailer. Some week end all of us Oregon people should hook up in florence.
