El Mirage Fees

I don't mind paying to ride a good place & help keep riding land open. Usually pay $5 but $15 for the day is too expensive.
I would like to see big changes happen with these funds: http://www.blm.gov/ca/st/en/fo/barstow/mirage.html

yep! its bullshit! every year riding in california gets more expensive, and every other year they cut our riding land in half.... its bulshit! i used to be able to jump on my dirtbike when i was 8 and 9, and ride out the the creek, and all the way into the foot hills. now i gota put my shee in my truck, and drive 45 minutes to the riding spot, unload, and then reload at the end of the day and drive home.... little by littel they made it smaller, antil now its one tenth the size, and i happen to live on the opposite end.... its a freakin mission just to get there, when i used to be able to go out in my backyard! its crap!

damn....the prices are going up on all kinds of shit>dmv,gas and now rideing spots,whats next a increase on crv on my 6 pack i think i will stick to the ilegal spots for now.

wow that's pretty bad for El Mirage. I can deal with 25 for a week at glamis but 15 for a day at El Mirage, forget it.

I would hope to see maybe some paving, better restrooms, ranger/blm services with chopper & ambulance on deck..
And it still doesn't justify the high fees........

they hike up the fees so less people go, then it gives them an excuse to shut it down since nobody goes anymore. i was gonna head out there to gps my bike and get a top speed. maybe i'll take my chances on the street, although 15$ compared to impound fees, ehh what the hell half the fun is getting away with it

Soggy dry lake, in Johnson Valley is a good place to do speed runs. Its big enough.

That sucks they wanna charge so much i guess its to pay for that nice paved road they got in there now.
