Accident at Pismo: Climb's friend

[SHOWTIME]

Im not totally sure of the details yet, but from what
Climb Any Hill told me, his buddy got T-boned by a truck
on CompHill at Pismo Beach. He went to the Arroyo Grande
Emergency Room on Sunday. Im not sure of the total extent
of the injury, but either way, its gotta be painfull. Thoughts
and prayers go out to your friend for a speedy recovery!

yep.... it realy sucks when a sport like this lashes out at one of your friends....... i talked to climb last night, i guess the guy got realy lucky.... he has a broken rib, and alot of bruises...... it could have been way worse! the whole thing had to be hella scary, to roll over a dune and see chevy truck bareling at you. damn...

Ahhh man, thanks alot people! Thanks for the hospital directions too Showtime!!
Thanks to the crowd, rangers & paramedics that helped out. They were there in less than two minutes.
We arrived at Comp Hill during the day, tons of people every where. My friend Chris was the unlucky one.
As we rode the crest to drop down the dune, a lifted Chevy came up & smacked him hard.
He was pinned between his quad and the truck suspension. Instead of her [the driver] backing it up she jumps out and just screams.
I kinda flipped out when I saw Chris on the floor in pain and punctures on his body.
He dented the trucks bumper, broke the grill & lights. The quad didn't take the impact, his body took it all.
He was strapped to a board, the ambulance showed up & off he went, we sent for a truck, loaded his quad & I raced back to camp.
Couple hrs later I'm in the ER & he's moaning in pain waiting for test results. I yell to the nurse, "MORPHINE NOW!!"
They juiced him up & said he felt great, I said hell... share with me bro ha haa... He would laugh then cry from the pain lol..
It's so hard to call his fam & tell them he's fine when all the ER machines are beeping behind you...
Test results came back with cuts, bruises & a broken rib. The leg would of shattered in pieces if he didn't have his boots on.
He's a big strong guy so he was able to take that hit, I would be completely destroyed if that was me.
We rode back to the dunes about midnight & think I ran into 620's boys, they were from Sacramento with no reservations lol..
As were driving Chris tells me about his ambulance experience. It was hitting the whoops pretty hard so he would jump 2 ft in the air.
Then for some reason a fire extinguisher went off so they had to air out the ambulance.. geeeezzz!
We rolled out yesterday morning & I am tired!!

Sad to hear, i have heard way to many Pismo horror stories recently. They need to open up more space; there are way to many people at pismo for the amount of room to ride. Thoughts are with him.

thats a pretty lame comment to make when the fact of the matter is regardless of who was driving the guy coulda been killed....but to each his own.

climb- sounds like he was lucky! He's still in my thoughts though, here's wishing him a speedy recovery!
