Ocotillo Wells???? Info Please!

Hey guys,

I just heard of a place called Ocotillo Wells, can you tell me a little bit about it?
Does it have any sand dunes for my shee? Good riding for a shee? I know were it is but have never been there. I hear it's a great place to ride, is it?

ocotilla has a little of everything,it has a few big sand hills ,blow sand,devils slide,superstition,but it has more dirt than sand there.Great for a banshee or any bike.lots of hills and trails,I mean lots,you could ride forever out there.We are planning one more trip out this season drop me a message im sure we can make room and show you the sights,pics below are ocotilla.

I just got a map from a friend & I think I'll run down this Sunday and check it out.
Appreciate the info, sound like a great place to ride. I go to California City because it's closer from Redondo Beach area. It's to rocky, OW will be a big change I'm sure!

Where is California City? I've never been to Ocotillo Wells either. I'm in Anaheim and usually go out to El Mirage. I would be interested in in an OW trip.

California City is the 405 North to Mojave 14 North to California City Blvd & turn right. Pass through California City & turn left at the end of town past the golf course on Twenty Mule Team Parkway. Follow road to Silver Saddle Ranch turn off and turn lefton to Retgers Road take this road to Bucknell road and turn left. Bucknell turns into Chrysler Blvd. It would be easier if you get a map, I looked and I don't have anymore otherwise I'd send you one.

Ocotillo Wells,
If your pulling a trailer take the 91East to the 60East to the 10 East to 86 South. Half way down the Salton Sea you will see Highway 78. Ocotillo Wells is just west of the Salton Sea on 78.
If your not pulling a trailer and just have your bike in your truck save 30 miles by goi ng 405 South to 5 South to Highway 78 and go East on 78. This is what I was informed by a friend. I'm going out Early Sunday morning and going to camp by "Blow Sand Hill".

What size trailer? Hey thanks for the directions I definately check out Cal. City. Do the rangers payrol it? is it a Cal. State OHV park or BLM? I don't run spark arrestors so I'm limited in riding areas. No Gorman for me but it sucks there anyways, to crowded.
