beerbuddy is an unknown quantity at this point
Default what size should i get???

ive got an 88 lt250r that is in need of a new piston. seeing as the bikes 20 yrs old, i figure the cylinder wall has to be worn a little. my dad has been a machinist for 20+ years, so he could bore/hone it for me pro bono, i just dont know how much bigger to go. i eventually wanna stroke it, just dont have the money for that at the time. also, if i do bore it a bit, do i need to mod the head at all? any help or suggestions would be sweet. thanks guys

You need to find out what bore it is at now.If the cylinder walls look decent just go for the hone and get the same size piston.Boring it isn't gonna do much for you and seeing how old it is you should be saving every bore you have left.If it has bad score marks have it rough bored to see what size piston you will need.Whats compression at now.
