Default piston questions

somebody told me before installing the piston on a new rebuild you need to lubricate the piston. what kind of lubricate is good for that. thanks

use the same oil that you use for your pre mix...

personally i dont lube the piston, but i do rub 2-stroke oil on the cylinders, a generous amount. that method has never let me down yet.

you do know that when you fire it up first that it'll be burning whatever oil you used right? I'm perty sure rubbing them with the SAME premix you'll use to fire it up would be the best?

yea ive used 2 stroke mix to 10w 30 motor oil,whatever is closest to where im sitting,it's impossible to hurt anything with such a small amount, i mean your talking about a few cc's of oil being distributed throughout the cylinders ? and yea it burns when you fire it up for what a whole 2 seconds ? in the end it's all oil and will not hurt in the least bit. i dont want this guy thinking he has to go out of hiw way to lube his cylinders before putting in the pistons by getting a specific oil, anything will work.
