Woah!!!!

i bought a Namura(or something like that) .040 piston for my blaster. One week after it was rebuilt it threw the piston. I dont know if that the right term but it fits it. it was completely off the rod. When i took off the jug the rod fell right down. NOT SHITTING YA. The dome was the only thing that stayed intact. I found Piece all through my exhaust. Anyone know why this happened?

well iv never heard of that company....so my guess is that they are a cheapo piston....if thats not the case it might have just been a defective piston. i know iv had ones like that on my indy500.....stock polaris pistons just dropping a skirt after like 300-400 miles.

That sucks. When it comes to parts as important as engine internals, don't ever go with some cheap-o brand that you've never heard of. It's just not worth it as you've found out. Get a Wiseco piston this time.

buy only genuine wiseco prolite piston kits and dont reuse any parts fro m the last topend ,vitos,namura ,wsm,vertev and the rest of the knock offs are just not up to snuff .

i dont think that WSM pistons are a horrible piston. They have a pretty good reputation, i ran one for 3 years in my old blaster.

Could it have cold seized and had enough momentum in the crank to pull the wristpin right thro the bottom on the piston?

its probably just an inferior material that couldnt hold its structural integrity under that kind of extreme climate ..in other words the piston wasnt tested and its a pos right from m the factory i bet. atleast call the co. up and bitch, you may get another one thta you can sell .then buy a wiseco piston kit .
