Default need help

2000 polaris 325 magnum 4x4, runs but no real power in high gear, it moves, reverse actually feels fine, wont go into low gear just grinds.
any help for ideas, belt, clutch ?? or both ??????

sounds to me like your tranny is not adjusted right, loosen the jam nuts on the linkages that go from the shifter to the tranny. there's no real way to explane how to get it right, just have to adjust the rod length untill it shifts for you. you also have to adjust both the one for the high and low.

thanks, I did do that adjust the low end linkage and if I went just a little bit it wouldnt shift into the high gear then, I am going to try that again though, I am beginning to think its internal ?
any other ideas??

noise from the auto clutch is normal thats a fried belt but the kinda noise you describe could be very bad you may have broke something in your bottom end im not so familar with polaris bottoms but i can tell you grind usually means you have major mechanical transmission problems in most machines

even with it going into high gear fine, it just feels like it slips in high gear
but it grinds going into low, like it would if idle was too high, bit thats fine.

might be a shift fork bent, the tranny's are pretty simple in them, they are just a pain in the ass to get out of the machine. pull the drain plug and see if there is any long metal pices on the magnet.
