| I had a friend that had a 98 polaris trail blazer and it was a piece of shit. It was back in 01 or 02 when I had my 4-joke kawasaki mojave. Every time he brought it out, somthing broke. But that is the only polaris I have ever been around. Maybe polaris has inproved since then. But it was a fun, torqy little bastard. And I could jump it hard and it never bottomed out realy hard. But my friend broke 2 shock shafts on it. I say It's a good quad for less aggressive riders. But that was a machine that was built 9 years ago. The newer ones may be built better.

| Hi my polaris is crapy sometimes. It is a 1986 polaris trail boss 250 two wheel drive two stroke. One of the struts broke in the front and everything has been falling apart since then. The engine mount broke and then the belt drive cover melted and now water can get in there. The quad has run ok since I rebuilt the top end and it can go through a crapload of mud. I have had this thing in mud that you can not ever walk through without loosing your shoes. It hates water. Some how it must be sucking in water when ever you go through a water crossing and it dies. One of the tie rods broke. That was fun finding a replacement with out buying expensive oem parts. I had one of the ignition parts go bad and break off inside behind the flywheel and knock the timing off. The part was expensive and it seemed like how ever I adjusted the timing it ran like crap until one day it just desided to run like a bat out of hell. I also broke a swing arm bolt when I drove it off of a curb going about eight miles per hour. That one really cracked me up. I got this quad so my girl could ride it am once in a while I would take it out. It seems like I have been working on it more that I have ridden it. Ever time I fix it I take it out to make sure it is ok for her to ride and it usually breaks when I get almost home. I just replaced the drive belt because that broke. It seems to ride ok. I am scared to ride it out of the yard. Hey does anybody want to buy an old polaris? It runs good really. To defend polaris my friend has a 2000 polaris trail brazer and it was really nice to ride. I remember we had a problem with the tranny but I think he shifted it while still moving. So he had to shuff it off and put it in park. Then it was fine. It has great suspension. It is a full size quad for cheap. It does have good power too. It has the same engine and my old trail boss. My old trail boss does move out but that is all it does. I thing the newer trail blazer has good suspension but it looks like it can be jumps like a racing quad. It does soak up the bumps good but I would not trust those struts. In the end I would rather ride my 1985 honda atc250sx. It is in great shape and I only paid $450 for it. Atleast I know it will not fall apart while I am ridding. It will never die out as long as there is gas in it.
