01 Trailblazer Gearbox

Hi all,

MY manual is on the way but need help for this weekends ride.

I was checking everything and the dipstick is missing. Gear oil, or should I say sludge, was quite thick. I finally got it all flushed out, but have no idea how much oil to put back in. Since the dipstick was gone, and I am not paying $20.00 for a new one, I made one out of a bolt and a few o-rings, I dont know how much oil to put in.

Any help would be appreciated,

i can measure one for you tomorrow but the fulid level is about inch below the top of the fill hole

are you talking about the engine part or tranny?

The tranny, but I will take both measurements if you have them.

let me run out to the garage and pull out my quad book. it's for a 99 00 but it should be around the same polaris hasn't changed the tranny design in a while
