Angry Need help with 1985 Polaris 250 Trail Boss

I read another thread similar to the issues to what I'm having, but there are a few things different with my situation...

I just recently got this '85 Polaris 250 Trail Boss, apparently it had been sitting for a few years. When I first got it, I cleaned the carburator, changed the spark plug, changed the oil, the gas was old so i cleaned that out and put new gas in. After I did these things it ran okay for a little bit. Now, a few days later, it does not like to start cold and when I finally get it running, it only rev's to about half throttle and then it bogs down. It also makes a loud cracking sound when it bogs. I've tried everything that I know (and I'm no noob to this) and it still doesn't work. Anyone have any advice or help with this?

Thanks for all your suggestions and help! I really appreciate it! The problem turned out to be a lot of things...choke...battery...wires - but I got it fixed *happy*

Now for the not so happy part. I flipped it this past weekend and messed it up a bit LOL Now I have more fixing to do.

As for the belt, it's a ski-do belt, which I thought was kinda weird. I ended up replacing that as well.
