Default scrambler 500

my dad just bought a scrambler 500 and it has a fmf megamax pipe on it, the one with the changeable disc's, well im wondering what does changing the disc's acutally do, it came with 12discs so if we take them all out do we get beter bottom end or top end, and if we leave all the disc's in would we gian more bottom or top, the dumbass that had it before us didn't know how to jet so we have to re-jet it before we can really ride it so im trying to get some info.

The more disks you have on it the less backpressure the exhaust will have which will give you more top end, the less disks will give you more backpressure which gives better bottom end. Check with FMF on the jetting specs for the pipe you have & your riding elevation.

Nobody around here has done the math! the Scrambler 400's SUCK they are SLLLOOOOWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!, my GF has a Scrambler 500HO and at 571lbs it's pretty darn fast! it would keep up with my blaster (with the 240 jug) before I stroked it and put the bigger carb on it!

LMAO if a 500ho will beat a 400 scrambler (they are 2 strokes) you better have the 400 rebuilt it's beyond worn out hell a good running 250 trail boss (another 2 stoke) will hand that heavy 500ho pig it's ass every time
