dont beat the piss out of it. If you can find any parts, stock up...who knows you might have a very valuable machine in a few years?

Never thought i'd see one of those again. I got 2 myself, except when i bought them there was only enough parts to build one machine. Best machine i have ever driven, and will beat a 2006 Polaris Scrambler 250 (they're the same thing basically). Find out how much a rebuild will cost. If its under 500 definitely buy it. I put 500 into mine and it's worth 1000 now.

Wow, I just picked up this same exact fourwheeler for cheap. Having some back firing problems with mine. Had a 3 Wheeler with the same exact engine and that 3 wheeler was by no means slow. This fourwheeler is identical to me how ever mine is a 1987.

How much did you get it for? I got both of mine for 50 bucks a piece, cuz they were sitting in a garage for 6 years collecting rust. Fro the back firing, change the plugs and turn out the air screw, and then maybe if it still persists, check ur floats and choke.
