Well I believe that I have stumbled across and purchased a polaris cyclone I admit that I have never been any kind of fan of a polaris, but you know it happens. I haven't ripped into it yet to see how bad off it is, the previous owner said that the rings were burned up in it and that the polaris dealer said they could fix it for $500 but you know you can't always believe what you are told. I know of what I have seen that this is a rare bike, so I guess what I am trying to do is to make sure I do have what I think I have, and if anybody has any contstuctive ideas that I should do mod-wise if I end up building it

Yep thats a cyclone, dont know much about them but they seem like they'd be fun to dink around on..

This is a two stroke 250 right? I think they made these from 87-89.

hahaha looks like some kind of old army vehicle lol. But it is a part of the 2 stroke family and quite rare. I would like to get my hands on a old tigre 500 trike and restore it.

yea its a 250 2-stroke, ugly as sin but i got it dirt cheap, and i figured it would make a nice cheap 2-stroke to get going and beat the piss out of it. from most of what i have seen they are very rare and they only made them in 87

They went ok back in the day. They had 30-32 horsepower from the factory, I read two different articles that had different outputs.

Wow a rare find as I've never heard of that one. I would slap a new top end in it if they are still available and just ride it the way it is. Then buy a banshee or zilla or 250R.

Also REPLACE ALL OIL INJECTOR HOSES WITH NEW my buddy had a cyclone in pretty good shape and one of his oil injector hoses was so dried up it cracked and he fried the motor.
