Does this hose off the carb go anywhere?

I'm still having the stalling problem with my 95 Xplorer 400. In working on it I've noticed that there is a small hose ( 4 inches long or so) that comes off the float bowl on the carb just above the drain. There is what looks like a vacuum switch on the end of the hose. There is a nipple on the other side of the hose, but its currently not attached to anything. I've looked around, and I can't find any loose hoses or anything. Is this supposed to be attached to something, and could that be my problem? Thanks.

it could be a drain with a check valve on the end of it, but then again its a polaris so it could be anything....
