Polaris swingarm question??

Well i got my friends polaris trail (boss/blazer?) 325 4-stroke with a broken swingarm. I really dont feel like going thru the polaris website to find info on them but how much is a new one and how good do you quad guys think it would hold up if I welded the crack, bolted a 1/4 inch steel plate over it then welded that so it would be double welded and bolted? All theyre really going to do with it is use it for yardwork and maybe a ride here or there but theyre not hard riders at all.

Well we put a new one on today they bought it yesterday. I love this quad for the bad trails around here its by far the best 2wd quad ive ever ridden in those trails but the mud isnt as deep as it usually is. Usually a 2wd struggles all the way thru them.
